Designed to support staff to develop the foundational self-leadership skills to contribute as a valuable member of the organisation, Take the Lead has a strong focus on understanding self, increasing self-awareness and enhancing how to work with and communicate with others to support the delivery of effective health care.

Program Objectives

  • Deepen your knowledge about the current challenges facing Queensland and the broader healthcare system

  • Understand your leadership style and behaviours

  • Demonstrate the skills to communicate and engage more effectively with colleagues and the community

  • Execute strategies to manage the stress of higher clinical workload with a focus on resilience and self-care

  • Demonstrate skills in strategic influencing

This program is offered statewide through the Centre for Leadership Excellence and may also be offered locally through your HHS/QAS
