Digital Health Systems

Queensland Health has multiple systems used for a variety of purposes. It can feel a little overwhelming when faced with multiple systems used to manage information, data and reporting. Each has its own purpose, platform, log-in and access requirements.

There are four key types of Digital Health Systems that will enable you in your leadership role:

  • Human Resource systems
Information on payroll, rostering, recruitment, training, and employee records.

  • Finance systems
Information on budgets, expenditure, revenue, procurement, and asset management.

  • Clinical systems
Information on patient records, clinical notes, treatment plans, diagnostic results, and care outcomes.

  • Information systems
General information and assistance for Queensland Health staff.

Note

Speaking to your peers or manager will assist you in recognising what systems you need and what systems your team may be using.

Why it's important

  • Staff capability – support, training and troubleshoot with your team

  • Decision-making – inform planning, resource allocation, and improvements.

  • Risk management – reduces the risk of security breaches, data loss, or process failures.
